I just posted about this earlier and have gotten no responses yet so I'm definitely interested too. Thanks!

PS-How do you get your post to come onto the front page?

I'm new here too but I think it only gets to the front page whenever someone posts a response to your question. Could be wrong but that is what I have noticed.

havent tried it but i hear alot of people saying great things about it.

regarding how to get to the homepage...you post a thread, and it starts there, then as there are other threads posted with more attention, it goes to the forum page. someone responds and it goes back up...or if you are feeling desparate and no one else has responded yet...you can BUMP yourself back up there by simply posting a response yourself. the common thing to see on that type of post is the word BUMP!

I use the one from this site all the time. It is one of my best sellers. Real easy to make also. Hope this helps!

the recipe posted at CC is the same one from Whimsical Bakehouse. i get requests for it to go with chocolate cake. but since whipping cream is a tad expensive, i now just add chopped oreos to Pastry Pride. you can do it with regular buttercream too. i also find it tastier if i take a few oreos and crush them. the crumbs really make a difference.

If it's the one with whipped cream you are talking about, I used it in a cake a couple of weeks ago. It was deeeeelicious!

mmmmm now I want some cookies and cream (the power of suggestion is so easily used on a woman with pms).

I make this all the time. One of my most requested fillings and just too easy. Just crush up some oreo cookies and stir it into your bc icing.

I've made this filling, and it is SPECTACULAR! My husband and I ate the leftovers out of the bowl with spoons. icon_redface.gif

Here's the link I have in my saved recipes:

Is icing sugar the same thing as powdered sugar? And do you guys think it would be good with a wasc? Or other cake suggestions?

I'm guessing it is. That is what I usually see in whipped cream recipes.

I'm thinking icing sugar is just powdered sugar. Do you think vanilla cake with the cookies and cream filling would be ok? Or should I use another flavor?

This is a best seller for me also. I have people request the FILLING ONLY, it makes a ton of it. I find it will go with anything but that chocolate is best. It keeps well in the fridge for awhile also.

Thanks for the info! I think I'm going to try the wasc and chocolate this weekend. I myself am a chocolate girl but I'm really looking forward to trying both the wasc and the cc filling!
And turtlemom-thanks for clarification on the sugar! LOL It was a little late for me last night!

You should really try it...it is sooo good! I even have brides that want it on wedding cakes.
(It freezes really well too, if you make too much)

I made this for my DD recent birthday cake. I used it for filling between three chocolate 9" rounds. It made way more than I needed (much to the delight of my youngest DD!) Do try this as it is awesome. I used mini oreos instead of crushing oreos because that is what I had on hand. Yum! Yum! Yum!

I just crush oreos up and put it in my buttercream. My favorite is mint oreos. Yummo. thumbs_up.gif
