My sister loves Napolean Dynamite and I wanted to make a cake with his face and some of his sayings for her birthday. However, I can't seem to find a cartoon picture of his face. I was going to do a BCT. The only pictures that I've found of him are real pictures. If anyone has any ideas please let me know.
Thanks icon_biggrin.gif

OOO my goodness! My husband is a teacher and all the kids were raving about this movie soooo we rented it. DON'T DO IT! It was just about the stupidest thing I have ever seen.
I have yet to figure out what the kids like about it.

You probably have already tried this but have you looked online for some character drawings of him? I'm not sure if I have seen any.

Napoleon Dynamite is a movie about a teenager, Napoleon who is less than popular in school. The genre of the movie is 80's. He has a nerdy brother, and an Uncle Rico who, well, you just have to see the movie. The first time I saw the movie I thought to myself, "people paid to go see this?" I rented it because my DH wanted to see it. I have now seen the movie about a dozen times and it just gets funnier and funnier. Kids and some adults (ahem) like to throw around quotes and quips from the movie. Your local JCPenny just might have some t-shirts with some Napoleon sayings on them.

I've seen alot of people wearing "Vote For Pedro" T-shirts. you make a cake that looked like a T-shirt with that on it. Just an idea. Post what you finally decide.

That's what I was telling everyone for the longest time! I admit, I like the movie just because of how dumb it is and I like to see my husband turn red in the face for lack of oxygen because he's laughing so hard. He's in the Navy so he has to keep up with the "lingo"!

Okay, sad thing about this, is I have never seen the movie all the way through, because I could stand it, but everyone around me loved it(weirdos!!!) icon_lol.gif

He does say the word idiot a lot, but he also said "gosh". You could simulate a boondoggle keychain (do a search, there is plenty info). Also, you could draw a liger. "It like a lion and a tiger mixed... bred for its skills in magic." Quote from the movie. If you look in yahoo images and type in "napoleon dynamite tiger" you will see the drawing from the movie. Also, Napolean has a llama named Tina, so you could incorporate that in there as well. The vote for Pedro is a good one too.

Thanks alot for all the help...I'll see what I can find. As stupid as the movie may be it only gets funnier everytime we watch it. Hey we even have my Dad asking if "chickens have large talons."

OMG I feel so childish!! I absolutely loved that movie!!!! icon_lol.gificon_lol.gif It's hilarious in a stupid way. Actually most of the time I find myself repeating his sayings to my little nieces and nephews!!! Like "idiot" or "tina ya lard, come get your dinner" icon_lol.gificon_lol.gificon_lol.gif Just thinking about it is making me giggle!!

I agree with Bulldog about the vote for pedro t-shirts. They are really in style right now. Please post pics when you're done. I'd love to see them

I know - the first time I saw the movie I HATED it! I really wanted to just leave, but since the guys who made the movie went to my school (BYU) and since there was so much hype over it, I had to see. On a crazy whim, we watched it AGAIN with the directors commentary, and that's when it actually got funny. Because if you listen to John Heder (Napoleon), he actually sounds kind of like that!! Although, I have heard that he's much cooler in real life. And that dance scene at the end, can I just say, that was the only redeeming part of the movie! We must have watched that scene 20 times. My sister once drove through the town it was filmed in, (Preston, ID), and she actually SAW Uncle Rico's ugly van!!! It's really there, parked outside some driveway! Ha!

Anyway, just had to share, in case anyone wanted to know! icon_smile.gif

Oh my! I liked this movie too! It was funny because it was stupid. My son and I cracked up and then he would have to stop movie and replay the funny parts.

Someone did a bct of Elvis but I'm not sure what kind of picture was used. Maybe send out a post to ask. I've also seen on another site where someone did bct of a photo of her kids.

Hot Topic has some good Napoleon shirts, pins, patches, etc. You might be able to find something useable.
