AI thought it might be fun for everyone to share pics of their last cake for the year. I'll go first.

I made this Doc McStuffins cake for my friends daughter who turns 5 on the first.

Here is my last cake. It is 3 layers of carrot with the best and simplest cream cheese icing (Carmijok's cream cheese icing).  The fondant decorations are simple because I didn't want it to be plain.

This is 3 layer carrot cake with cream cheese icing. I got the recipe from our forums and it worked FABUOUSLY! "Carmijok's cream cheese icing" The decorations are fondant (also has snowflakes on the sides). It was not meant to be finely decorated, I just didn't want it to be plain. Everyone loved it.

Oh what a great time of year to have the 'last cake' photos.....  Everyone's cakes are so sweet.  My cake was just for us at home, and it was yummy.

marshmallow fondant, lace molds, gumpaste red rose, holly & berries.

MBalaska, that is lovely. Mine was for my office. My mom was to have come over this eve for dinner, but she was not feeling up to it. I may make another tomorow, the first for the new year, just for us here at home. Your rose is perfect, is it gum paste?

Thanks, Yes it's a gumpaste rose (gumpaste that I purchased from @costumeczar etsy page.)  I made the rose, It takes me forever to get one together.  that's why there's only one. lol

and I bought the holly & berries from her also.  Her talent made my cake better!

They gave me the above picture to copy...

Rebaptism cake for my Grandma. SMBC with watercolour effect. Hand painted fondant board. 8inch and 5inch cakes. By far the scariest cake I have done so far. My last "official" cake I made in 2014 was just for me because I only got one piece of the last two cakes I made. I loves me some devil's food cake with chocolate butter-cream icing.

I made these two in the middle of December for our office Christmas/Graduation party. I only started decorating as a hobby in May of 2014 so my cakes aren't as nice as some of yours. But I'm getting there.

White cake with white butter-cream for the Christmas cake:

And my old standby, devil's food with chocolate buttercream for the "Congratulations Grad" cake:

It is for our group of friends, we are gathering today.

It is my practice cake. First time working with fondant on RKT ( the bauble). The cake is decorated with SMBC.

This was the last cake order we made for 2014, commissioned for a birthday girl on christmas day. She originally asked for a dog for her birthday but the parents decided a dog cake would be far easier in the long run!

wow awesome cake, I hope the little girl didn't find it too difficult to cut the cake, I know I heard stories of kids refusing to cut the cakes when they're so realistic almost, My wife saw your cake and said she wouldn't be able to do it , please take that as compliments... excellent work!
