AHi all! I am doing a cake this week with emerald green and gold accents. Since the green is such a dark color, I decided to buy a premade green fondant, so it was easy to work with and it didn't taste food-color-ish. (That's a word, right? ;) )

Problem is, it's just plain green. Im wondering which gel colors I should add to give it that beautiful emerald color? I'm really not sure. Thank you so much!!!

Haven't tried this myself, but will in March.  If it works for icing it should work for fondant, you just may have to adjust the amount used.

"Mix a bit of Leaf Green with Royal Blue, and just a touch of black."

AEmerald green is bluish, so yes agree with Barb. Can also try mixing blue and yellow with a touch of black... Mix small amounts at first and build up either the yellow or blue, but reckon it will be more blue than yellow and the tiniest bit of black or dark brown to tone it down a bit

AThanks so much to both of your replies! The color came out beautifully. The fondant was already colored a basic green, so I slowly added some royal blue and black until I got the color I was looking for. Here is the cake. It was a birthday and new year cake for a hairdresser. :)
