I am thinking of making this cake for our office party, but don't have a bell shaped pan. Any idea on how to carve this shape to serve about 20-30 people? Should I just carve out of a 9x13 sheet?

Thank you!

That should be pretty easy to just cut it out into that shape. I would do a cutout template bell, the size that you want it, cook yourself  two 9 x 13 pans or two 9 inch squares or two 10 inch rounds (whichever will fit the size of your template) then put your template on top and just cut it out for both layers. put frosting in between the two cut out bells and frost. I am not sure but the picture above looks like it may have fondant on top of it.

As far as the bottom round on bell I am not sure about. Maybe rice crispies cereal? I am no expert so hopefully someone else here will be able to help you more than me. Good luck I am sure you will do a beautiful job!!!

AAs remnand said... And I would also say it's covered in white fondant. To make the bell, you could use modeling fondant or gum paste or marzipan or rkt, but if you have time I'm just thinking I wohl use a candy apple. It's so christmasy. Ok, the apple is not perfectly round, but it's something special to add. Either buy one or make one, with a cinnamon stick in the middle and red candy outside, which you could dust with gold luster dust...

The cake is really looking wonderful buddy, did you hired caterer for this. As I am also planning for an office party and also think that there is not anything better than hiring a caterer to flavor up your event.
