AOrder is due in 2 hours. I just checked on the cuppies and the carrot cake liners are falling off. What do I do?

i would remove them if they were soggy as can happen with carrot cake as it's typically over moist -- and just place them in fresh liners is all i know to do -- hopefully someone else will have a better idea -- are these for a wedding on a stand & all where the presentation is key --

i would be tempted to pipe a line of icing around the cupcake before placing in the new wrappers -- might not work but if you used the aluminum foil wrappers it might increase your chances of success -- might not

best to you -- don't start groveling with the customer as is the case with some of us

before you remove the wrappers could you possibly tie a narrow ribbon around them ?

AThank you so much. I'm almost glad there's not a quick, easy fix that I just didn't know about. Im going to play with my recipe and try to dry it a bit. I've never made carrot cake before and don't think I compensated for the carrot moisture enough. I happened to have a skein of jute hanging around and its a very rustic-y fall wedding, so I tied little bits around the ones with peeling liners and a few of the others to make it look like part of the plan. Worked beautifully!!!! I panic at home, nerves rattled and all, but always exude crazy confidence with the customers. I just can't grovel...not my style. :-) Thank you again!

oh i'm so happy that stray thought worked out for you -- hey i always squeeze the juice out of my carrots before i bake with them --

yay!!

AI thought about that but was worried that's where the carrot flavor was...in the juice. But if it works, that's definitely what I'm doing next time!

it works -- there's plenty of flavor in the carrots themselves and i've always found too much juice/moisture otherwise -- y'know like squeeze it by handfuls or wrap in cheese cloth and squeeze it out -- there's plenty left in there --

best to you

I read your other post and was actually thinking along the lines if the ribbon around the cupcake too.

Also not really much help to you now but the other week I had to make a heap of mini cupcakes and as I was in a hurry and only have one pan I pulled them from the oven then straight onto a cooling rack...... the whole lot of the liners pulled off (all 75 of them) so I rebaked them and this time let them cool in the pan until just warm. It worked, I think the fact that they cooled slower meant that the liner kept up with the cupcake as it shrank.

I also always have that problem with the big cupcakes but tried a batch that I let cool longer than normal in the pan the other day and wallah... the liners didn't peel off.

Hope you got this order sorted somehow.
