Has Anyone Had A Cake Disaster When Using The Sps Cake System?

I have read so many posts about people loving the SPS system. I was wondering if anyone has had a cake disaster when using the system. Seems like everyone loves it but is there anyone who has had problems with using it or problems with the cakes that they have used it in? I'm trying to decide which cake system is best.
AI have tried wooden dowels, plastic dowels from Wilton, and SPS. I haven't had any disaster from using any of those. It's not the system but the way you prepare your cakes/stack your cakes.

yes to this ^^ and no i've never had a disaster with any and all of the zillion methods i've used to stacked cakes -- i got a report sometime in my first few years that a cake of mine was leaning so they took it apart so that was probably a disaster averted but obviously it was me that nearly blew it not the support system --
i know there's a lot of information to digest/ingest but sps is a great way to go --- you'll need to learn to use dowel for sculptures and any weird things you do -- so using sps in the meantime gives you the chance to get caught up on regular cut doweling --
the big deal with sps is leveling your cakes to size but it's also a great side effect because you gotta get that right and it's better for all your silhouettes -- they have to be accurate --
I, of course, am a big cheerleader for SPS. I will say that SPS probably saved a few cakes . . . DH always helped with delivery and pretty much never carried a cake flat. He always seemed to carry them with a tilt and nothing ever shifted.

I agree with this...I use wooden dowels and have never had a cake collapse, but I also transport everything cold from the fridge. It's not just the supports.
Hmmm, I've never experienced this problem when using this SPS system. I have several friends who have this one but didn't hear they complain abt SPS too.
I spent a great time with this system and my cakes were good. hehe.
SO i recommend that you should buy it!
