Quick question. I am making 3-D skull cake for Dia De Los Muertos for my son's class at school. Should I cover it with melted white chocolate or fondant before I paint it? Should I frost it before I cover it with the white chocolate (If I use this)? I have made this cake before, but used all buttercream. I need to make this today, as it is due tomorrow and he just told me last night. And by the way, I am making it a brownie instead of cake.

painting on fondant is easier than painting chocolate -- if you cover in white choco make it into ganache first -- you can ice it before you ganache it --
