Hello there,

I've been ordered a cake with this sport team color below. I've planned to make the helmet and cover it with fondant. Because I know that black and dark purple are so hard to get, I was thinking about making the fondant ahead of time so that I don't have any issues the day of the event. Having that said, my question is, what's the longest time I can keep my fondant without becoming stale? I of course want to deliver my cake as fresh as possible.

I'd really appreciate your comments and suggestions on this.

Thanks in advances CC Bakers!

Is the helmet going to be the cake, or is it a decoration? Fondant should keep fine if wrapped in cling and placed in a container in a cool dark place. Are you buying it in or making it yourself?

Hi cakebaby, the helmet will be a cake too. It will be on top of a 9*13 in cake. and the fondant I'm making it myself out of Marshmallows
