So I made some gumpaste and have been have trouble actually using it. It is extremely thick but won't keep shape. It sticks to absolutely EVERYTHING! What am I doing wrong? What should I do differently?:-(

We need to know the exact recipe you used.  Sounds like you are going to have to start from scratch w/another batch.

Definitely post the recipe. It sounds like you might have made fondant but not gumpaste.

I am having trouble finding it. It isn't like fondant, I have made that too.

I think I will figure it out. But, is is possible to easily make gumpaste decor without molds?? They are super pricy and I am simply trying it out. You see, I am a young teen who has a baking obsession. :)

Here are a few different recipes that work okay. Each one has its benefits and drawbacks so you just  have to find one that works for you.  http://acaketorememberva.blogspot.com/2013/10/gumpaste-recipes.html

Also yes, it's easy to make gumpaste decorations without molds. Roll it out and cut things out with an exacto knife if you want flat pieces, or just model them yourself by hand.

You can also use cookie cutters.  There are many - usually red plastic - that have lines, dashes, etc built into them.  Here are a few I have made.  Usually I just used fondant with a little Tylose mixed in and let them dry overnight before putting them on the cake.
