Hello, I've been asked to make a 3D Patron bottle cake in December but I want to practice the cake now as it will be my second sculpted cake. Does anyone know where I can order an edible image of the label? Also any tips on carving this thing will be highly appreciated :)

bottle laying down or standing up? my local cake shop does edible images -- maybe try some of your local shops

The problem is that they might be unwilling to print it without clearance from Patron, for fear of an infringement suit.

that label is not that hard to create an illusion of -- you gotta do a fairly easy font and a couple scrollies on each side and a bee with owl eyes -- you can copy that and trace it and fill it in with piping -- and obey all copyright laws of course

I know but since this will be my first ever standing up cake I know that's where all my attention will be on the carving. but I may have to

dowel every 4-5 inches with a board in between of course -- might wanna do the bottle in rice krispie treats -- shave the nubbies off with a microplane -- it's not fun or easy to cover a bottle shape with fondant or modeling choco -- so be prepared to arm wrestle -- have some back up plans -- start way earlier than you think you need to start --

but depending on your bottle shape you could half by half cover it and just have the seam be a seam in the side of the bottle -- that would work for some of those square shaped bottles  --

best to you
