I have a wedding cake I'm doing for the 11th of October. She is going for an ivory cake and a rose gold Peony flower. I have never done a flower before let alone used any dusts to color it.

Any ideas on how to accomplish this color. Should I color the fondant before with a rose gold color and where do I buy that color? Or should I use white and then dust it with rose gold petal dust, if so where do i buy that from?

I have researched already and it looks like no one sells it so far. Would I have to mix 2 colors to make the rose gold? Which 2, gold and rose?

Thanks in advance!

so you need to define rose gold -- as in rose gold jewelry -- or rose pink colored flower tipped with gold metallic -- you can buy dusts from global sugar art online or from a local cake deco store --

i'm thinking color the gum paste rose pink and dust it lightly with gold dust and especially dust the edges so they really shine gold -- but i don't know what your bride means exactly

or do you want it to look brassy like rose colored gold? for that you can just brush them with the right color gold--  but you need to go to the store & play with the colors a bit -- yes you can also mix colors --
