Making cupcakes to display on a tree, have seen pics where they put clean wrappers on after baking or can you bake in double wrappers or just leave in baked wrapper.  Any thoughts??? they want pink wrappers

AFoil lined liners work to achieve the clean look. Or you can make or buy wrappers to go around after you bake. There are tons of templates online, just search cupcake wrapper template. Some companies will customize it for you and you can get the pattern you want, or look for premade ones. I print them on card stock, then use craft/scrapbooking scissors to give the top edge a pattern.

Bake in the baking wrapper (liner) that will absorb the grease and become discolored.  When placing on the cupcake tree, place each one inside a new, pink wrapper.

I think it all depends on what the holders will be. Most of the time, you don't have to bother changing the linings.

This may be a really stupid question but if your plan is to throw away the baking wrapper why not just bake them naked?

Perhaps because if you bake them naked, you'd have to grease each cavity in the cupcake tray and that's a pain? And you still risk that they get stuck inside the cavity and it's hard to take them out?

AThat makes sense. I generally bake muffins naked using the Pillsbury baking spray and they fall right out.
