How To Attach A Giant Cupcake On Top Of Another Cake For Transporting

AI am hoping to find some resolution here but I am adding a Giant Cupcake with a chocolate covering on top of another tier and was wondering what is the best way to glue them together for transport. My client is picking it up and I wanted to secure it for the safest transportation to its destination.
Any advice would be appreciated.
it would transport like any two tier cake - yes? are you doweling the bottom tier? i have my cakes well chilled for delivery -- especially for pick-ups -- and advise the client to bring a roll of paper towels or something to level the seat to set the cake on -- tell them to drive like there's a raw egg rolling around on the dashboard --
AI was wondering if do welding would work because the giant cupcake has the chocolate covering and I was afraid the chocolate would cracked. I do have supports in the bottom tier. I will have to suggest the paper towel method because I can see a disaster waiting to happen.
Thanks for your reply.
what kind of chocolate covering? what is the top tier sitting on? how tall is it? have you made a tier cake before?
AI created a mold from wilton candy melts to sit the bottom portion of the cupcake inside. Altogether the giant cupcake make be 6 inches in height. And yes I have done tiered cakes not one where the base was a chocolate molding from the cupcake pan.
Here's a similar cake that I made a while back: http://instagram.com/p/YOAg8vPtBi/?modal=true
The giant cupcake cake had a chocolate candy shell and I was also a bit apprehensive about stacking it on top of another cake using a dowel as support in fear that it would crack. But I did it and it worked perfectly.
Just make sure that you put a cake board under the giant cupcake, and I used melted chocolate as the "glue" to adhere the giant cupcake to the board
wow that's really nice misscutecupcakes!
yes needs a board of course as misscutecupcakes says -- make sure the bottom of it is level --
an idea for extra safety -- i think i would melt 1-3 holes in the bottom of it and insert bamboo skewers all the way down and into the bottom board --i would place them angled out slightly narrower at the top and wider toward the bottom -- i'd probably just use buttercream to adhere the two tiers to each other --
AOk I did it and I pray it makes it safely. Haven't finished it but here it goes
