I would like to put the oval Ford emblem on a cake this weekend and have no clue how to go about it.  Thought about using the star tube but that's not real pretty would like to have it smooth.  Would like some ideas and instructions if possible -- not an expert decorator LOL   Thanks in advance.

Fondant or gumpaste. Find your image online, print it and cut it out using the fondant or gumpaste. Gumpaste will dry harder. Both need drying time.

You can do a frozen buttercream emblem. Make a copy of the emblem, transfer it to wax paper, flip the wax paper over( so emblem is reversed). Pipe the writing, chill in freezer for 5 to 10 minutes. Then cover with background color. Smooth a bit so it is flat. Freeze solid, then when ready, remove from paper, flip right side up and place on cake!

AI would print the image on cardstock, as suggested above, then use an exacto to cut around. Just make sure you let it dry curved (like on a cake dummy) if that's the look you're going for.

You could also handpaint it or order an edible image if you have time.
