AIt's hard to say without any thing beside it to compare it too. Might be 6"/8", 8"/10", 6"/9" or even bigger.. And layers, probably standard two layer cakes and 1 layer frosting, or if torted, 4 layer cakes and 3 layers frosting.
@mattyeatscakes--ok, thanks..I kinda thought it might be 8/10 at least 3 layer cakes, 4 layers frosting..yours sound a bit more reasonable.
it's almost impossible to tell from a picture without a coke can or something in there for perspective but i think the tiers are a 3" graduation

that's what I thought too..I don't have any 3" 8/10" pans..can I bake two 2" layers each for each pan and fill between layers or should I torte in addition to filling between layers to get the height I need?
I think it's 8/10 I'd bake 2 (2inch) of each, tort and fill. Sometimes I only end up using half of one cake layer if it looks tall enough.
My guess is an 8" and a 10", too. The 10" looks like two layers with one of filling, while the 8" is a bit taller, so that might be a 3 layer with 2 of filling. I usually do 4 layers of cake (2 layers torted) and 3 of filling and my cakes end up looking taller than these do to me.

I'll try that and see whhat happens..

Wow!! that's a tall cake! Will try that one day when I'm grown up like you guys! Is that hard to cover with fondant? Is your refrigerator a standard or commercial one?
