I am stumped here....I have been asked to do an anniversary cake for a couple whos wedding was 1920's mob themed. I am having troubles coming up with ideas other than putting a fondant tommy gun on it. Please shoot me some ideas without having to mold too many fondant props onto it. Thanks in advanced.

Awhat about bullet holes in the fondant and then one bullet could be piercing a bottle with a label on it with their names and the date --

or if you wanted something more far out-- the liquid could be depicted flowing out of the bottle forming a heart with their names &the date--

i'm just brainstorming -- might spark an idea for you

Ano no I got a better one...maybe -- but y'know how the speakeasies had a doorkeeper where the client had to have the 'secret' password? well maybe an old fashioned door with a little peephole -- larger than present day peepholes -- you've seen 'em in the movies-- kind of a slot where two eyes peep out at you -- of course the client wanting entrance says "joe & annie sent us, the password is 8/27/13"or whatever the date is --

just brainstorming:)

I would look to the fashion.  Think black and white pinstripes with red accents, flapper beads, a fedora, maybe even some feathers.  It doesn't have to be literal. Google 20's gangster themed cake.  A few cool ones come up.  I saw one that was mainly black and white with some red roses and cigars.  Pretty cool!
