Hi there,
I have a wedding cake coming up and i'll need to use separators like the one in the links below:
I will highly appreciate any advice in relation to my questions:
Do i need to dowel the separators? if so, how please?
How do i glue the cake on top of the separator to ensure it stays in place??
Any other advice with regards to stacking cakes with separators will be highly appreciated.
Thanks very much

What is used are styrofoam discs wrapped in ribbon/fabric. You put a cake board top & bottom - the same size as the disc. Depending on the size of the tiers yes, I would dowel under the disc - if it is a 6" disc, then put the dowels around a 5" circle inside that 6" space. For one tier above the separation use 4 dowels; If there are more each lower tier will need 1,2 or 3 more dowels depending on the sizes and how many more tiers it is holding up.

Basically the same as you would if it were cake - a generous blob of icing :)
