I need to make a teapot similar to this picture. I am debating on how I am going to do the flowers and was hoping to get some suggestions on how YOU would go about making this cake.

If you really don't want to paint the flowers, your next best bet might be brush embroidery. There are lots of tutorials on the interwebs.

All the best,

Cris.

It might be tricky, but you may be able to print the picture out as an edible image and very carefully cut out and apply the design to the cake.  The toughest part will be fitting the flat picture to the rounded teapot cake, but I think it can be done.

I would hand paint..just use tracing paper, I do it all the time and it works great. No need to paint free hand. I'm not sure if there are any tutorials; but I'd start by searching youtube for a tracing paper on cake tutorial.

AThank you for the suggestions! I WOULD attempt to paint the flowers but the lady who is ordering the cake is a amazing painter and I would never be able to do the flowers justice, lol! ☺️ I think I will go with the brushed embordiery since I never had luck with edible images. Wish me luck!:D
