Wow!  What a great method for smoothing and edging fondant.  Azcouture described it in a thread previously but the photo tutorial that she created is outstanding.  I had to join Facebook to purchase this, and I'm glad that I did.  Any improvement on fondant edges is helpful.   Keep up the good work......

and Thank You AZ for putting this together for us.  A happy customer.

Cheers,

mb

It is so much better for me to SEE with my eyes how something is done, that's just helpful for me personally. Yes that's the thread 'Yuma Couture Cakes'.  Thanks Goreti.

{For people like me, visual learners, I often take photos of the things that I'm trying out and paste them into my baking notebooks, so I'll remember easily next time.  A photo is worth a thousand words.}

AOh! You guys are awesome! Thanks! Glad to hear it is helpful...it's definitely my most treasured trick for sure. Working on a few more, to release over the next couple of months.

This was definitely one of those "Why in the world didn't I think of that" moments o.O

I had seen people do similar things before, but never did they take it to the next step and get the nice bottom edge.

Going to have to try this ASAP.

Thanks <3

Thanks MB, if you hadn't posted we wouldn't have known about this.  I know you told us how to do it, AZ, in a previous post but like that old saying...a picture is worth a thousand words.  And all for the price of a cup of coffee that is gone in 5 minutes.  Can't wait to try it.

AIs there a way to purchase the tutorial without a facebook account? I don't have one and I don't want one.

I suggest you send a PM to AZCouture. She will undoubtedly explain another way.

Actually with the economy as it is today that photo is only worth 200 words.!:lol:

Thank you AZ for the tutorial, going to get it when I get on FB.  ;-D

cai0311  same here. Yes I had to sign up to purchase it.  Looking at peoples facebook pages for their new cakes and cookies is something that I do almost daily.  I'll probably never log in again.

Same with Etsy.  I don't use it other than to purchase a few things from some of the CC members.

cakegrandma  even a meager 200 words exceeds the limits of my failing memory.   I've had such good results with the additions of photos to my baking notebooks.

Ha! cazza1 Here on the CC forum I've been given so many generous freebies on decorating, just by reading hundreds of posts by Jamie @AZcouture

{and of course I only decorate for the purpose of having an all-around 'Gift Genie' for every occasion, and my own eating pleasure }

so I've already been over compensated:judge:

Cazza1, this might be better than a commission.........a smooth even bottom edge.

AZCouture's fondant edging tutorial result.

It's just my homemade fondant so it's not super good quality fondant, I didn't want to waste expensive store bought fondant on an experiment.........but it's the best edge so far.

 Glad I bought her tutorial.:)
