When icing the outside of your cake with buttercream that is a specific color (for example, pink), when you torte and fill your cake, do you use that same color buttercream between your layers of cake?  I am baking a white cake that will have pink buttercream on the outside.  I am just curious if it is acceptable to fill with white icing, or if it should be filled with pink as well..............thank you.

Pink frosting inside would look pretty with any cake, but so does white.  You can match your filling to your frosting or fill with something different.  There is no "right" way for cake. :)

Thanks so much!  I wasn't sure if there was a "right way" and "wrong way" to do this!
