Looking for some expert opinions. My daughter is having a party on Sunday. Today is Thursday. I have frozen cupcakes in the past and they have been fine. With just three days, I'm not quite sure which will be best.
Would you:
A. Bake, frost and freeze for Sunday
B. Bake, freeze and then frost later
C. Bake and put in fridge with frosting.
D. Bake and put in fridge without frosting.
E. Other.
I am doing red velvet and a smores cupcake that is a graham cracker base with a marshmallow filling. I haven't made either of these before, so I don't know how they will act.
Thanks!!
AI vote for B! Get the baking part out of the way, make up a fresh batch of your frosting and frost the night before or morning of. Freezing the cupcakes will not only save you time but make the cupcakes better. Good luck!
And the really interesting thing is that A, B, C, D, E (and all of the possible variations included in E) are all good ideas. I've done all of them
but since this is supposed to help someone make up their mind what to do.........hmmmmmmmmm
how about just making them tomorrow and letting them sit out overnight. Hay that's an "E" answer.
AI don't think I'd consider any option other than B based on what you're making. Wouldn't want any of that to get soggy.
