I'm interested it but haven't made the leap to purchase yet. Right now all my recipe breakdowns, ingredient costs, estimates, etc. are in a big complicated spreadsheet. I also just recently started checking out Wave for invoices and receipts and such, and it seems great for the accounting side of things!
AI use excel. The first sheet has every ingredient I use by price, purchased weight and the spreadsheet then calculates the per ounce price. Eggs are priced each. Other sheets have my recipes with ingredients listed by weight. The recipe ingredients link back to the per ounce price in the original sheet. Whenever I update a cost/ purchased weight etc. all the recipes that use that ingredient automatically update. I also have the yield for each recipe and my retail pricing formula. It took a couple of hours to set up but it lasts forever and ultimately is eady to use3. And I didnt have to buy anything. I suppose that I could feed the calculated info into another spreadsheet to generate an invoice but never did.

Yes, Excel works great! My students say Cake Boss software issimply Excel with fancy icons.

. I've used Excel to organize my church's inventory, classes, etc. I LOVE it! Excel also has free templates you can download from the Microsoft Website. I've used their free invoice templates when I used to work at a museum (handy for PO orders when I could justify not doing a carbon copy on the typewriter). If Excel isn't fancy enough for you, then try Access for more complicated functions. But chances are, Excel will work just fine and if you need help with it, there are tons of free and easy to understand tutorials online. Or I'm sure someone on here will be able to answer you too

What can I say, I love spread sheets. I do all my video game cheat sheets, gardening layouts, price comparisons, labels, lists, (etc etc etc) in Excel!
