I have client who is allergic to vanilla.  She wants rolled fondant on her cake and I prefer to use a commercial brand rather than make my own as it never comes out as nice as the commercial ones.

Typically I use Satin Ice.  Anyone know of  a brand that does NOT have any vanilla in it?

yes, pretty uncommon to be allergic to vanilla but she breaks out in mean hives...

I have a sensitivity to vanilla and yes, it sucks.  

I would call the manufacturer and make sure there is no chance of cross contamination with real vanilla.  It's not a standard allergen so no one is going to mention if it's made on equipment that also processes real vanilla.  Your client may not be that sensitive, but better to be safe.

AI never put vanilla in my fondant. Only a wee bit of good almond oil. Much better taste if you ask me.
