AI am attempting a beer mug cake. I have all the assembly and how to's thanks to so many wonderful people who have previously offered tutorials and help to others. I just can not get the colors right for the mug of beer. I am doing it all in buttercream and just can't seem to get the color to not be to yellow or to brown. I would appreciate any thoughts and ideas. Or even a link where color is discussed. I searched but didn't find anything that related to the actual color other than working with fondant and making it glossy.

AOk so I played around a bit more with colors and got something I am happy with for now. It's more so a practice cake so can work colors more if ever asked to do this cake. I wanted to reply and let know I figured it out somewhat so no one goes out if way to look for links for me :) man I gain so much more respect for those who have done cakes and paved the way for others with each cake I try. It's awesome to have a place like CC to be able to search , ask questions and gain knowledge. Oh ended up using brown, golden yellow and a bit of copper. I think my next thing is to go back and learn more about colors so I have a better understanding of what colors I can mix for different results.
