AI don't have a specific recipe, but, a suggestion. You could use a basic vanilla cake recipe for the cupcakes, then brush the tops with rum flavored simple syrup then frost with rum BC.

IF you need a non alcoholic flavor to the cake, simply use a butter rum flavoring in your normal vanilla cake recipe.

I did a search on here and found this helpful thread: http://cakecentral.com/t/717207/vanilla-rum-cake-like-the-ones-in-miami

And you can always add rum flavoring to the batter in addition to a simple syrup like mzteaze suggested.

i did not check craftybananas link so this might be a repeat but bacardi rum has a killer rum cake that i love love love--it's written for using a cake mix but you could adapt it to a yellow cake recipe

http://baking.about.com/od/bundtcakes/r/bacardirum.htm

the glaze is to die for ^^^

idea for a bundt cake

i chop pecans and coconut fine fine and add some flour and i press this mixture into the well greased pan so it sticks on there and then i pour the batter in so after baking when it's turned out it's got this tasty crustiness --then the glaze on top of that omg and it's just ridiculously amazing

rum cake thoughts for you
