A customer wants to order mini cupcakes for her wedding.  She said she is "actually thinking of bringing in some party picks and decorating in the last minutes".  My initial reaction to this was to ask for a picture since they're going to be adding decorations that I won't see to my cupcakes.  My fear is that if the picks somehow don't work, they'll be associated with my cupcakes and will affect business.

Has anyone else come across this? If so, what did you do?

Thank you in advance!

I would have her bring them to me and I'd put them on.

AI agree with leah. You should be the one to put them on the cupcakes and i tell people with multiple desserts or things they change they cant put my business name on them. I had someone do this with wedding cupcakes, so i just took a picture of the cake and didnt even advertise those cupcakes

AA big part of my business is cupcakes and I wouldn't require the customer to get the toppers to me if she already has them. I would ask her to send me a link to what she ordered to make sure everything would be coordinated.

I'm personally not someone who is going to object to what they want to use. If it's something awful, one glance at my website would let anyone know that it probably wasn't my idea.

If she hasn't ordered them yet, I'd tell her to have they sent to me. But they still might wind up having to be put on the cupcakes at the venue if they wouldn't fit in the box.

AI will give a customer my honest opinion. I was greeted with some awful cc wrappers recently at a delivery and I told her I thought it was probably a bit too much and she didn't use them. I feel like part of what people are paying me for is to know what looks good and I'm going to tell them.
