Does anyone know how to apply edible pearls & dragees where the whole cake isn't covered like the picture below?  It looks like this cake is covered in buttercream and I am not sure how to do only portions of the sides of a cake like this. Help is appreciated. :)

AI would think you would have to apply each one by hand using tweezers. I haven't done a cake in which a lot were applied but that's how I would do it.
