AHi, I'm making a 12, 10, 8" square cake. Each tier is goi g to end up about 4" tall. It will only be transported a short distance to the next suburb. Should I use a central dowel and assemble the cake prior to transport, no central dowel and transport fully assembled or no central dowel and assemble at the venue? Thanks. :)
AHi. The other day i make the same sizes but in round shape and i did not use a central dowel. You say its a short distance so is not going to be a problem. End about asemble the cake , i did everything at home, so i could do a retouch if i have too. Jaja:grin:
AThanks, yeah I would prefer to assemble at home so I can fix any edges that might get bumped. Bit worried about lifting it fully assembled. It's mud cake so will weigh a ton!
AYeah, your rigth about the weigth. But 2 persons can do the job, end of course a good strong base! :)
I always use a center dowel. And I assemble at home. Even though you will only be driving a short distance, you never know when you may have to brake harder than usual. Why take the chance?
