AI'm seeking advice from all you great bakers....I want to make the bottom tier on this cake and am not sure how to get the bass fish to hold up as shown. I'm pretty sure it's RKT but am not sure how to support both ends coming out of the cake. I found the photo on google (sorry I'm not sure what fantastic artist it belongs to) If someone could please help me. (Hopefully the image uploaded)

AI would put the cake on a larger drum.

ADefinitely a bigger drum. And it looks to me like both parts of the fish were probably constructed in a way that allows the drum to support all of the weight, and they are just gently pushed against the cake, with the icing just being a backup "glue", if that makes sense.

AIf you look in my gallery I have done a fish doing this 3 different times. I make them out of RKT cover them in 50/50 and use skewers to attach them into the cake. Never had a problem and they always overhang my cake board and do not touch it. I would post a pic but have not been able to figure out how on mobile device since they changed the site.

AI have used wooden skewers for this type of thing many times in the past and have never had a problem.
