AI made my first batch of marshmallow fondant and let it sit a day before covering my cake. My fondant is a little soft though, definitely softer than satin ice fondant. I covered my cake but it never firmed up like pre-made fondant. Is that normal for mmf? Any tips about using mmf would be great. Also after covering a cake do you refrigerate it? And before covering the cake in fondant do you have it refrigerated first then take it out and cover? Sorry for all the questions, definitely a beginner over here!
AI find that mmf stays softer than the store bought brands do. If your cake is made without any fillings that need refrigeration then once covered in fondant you can leave your cake out. :) Before covering the cake in fondant I frost it and then put it in the fridge for the buttercream to 'crust' or harden a bit. Once I take it out of the fridge I roll out my fondant and cover. It works well for me!
