I was asked to make a glow in the dark topsy turvy cake- 2 things I have never done before!!:-o8O

Can someone help in suggesting how to do a glow in the dark cake? Under blacklight, i'm guessing.

I have heard of using tonic water but I don't think it works well. Then I saw the thread about the fluoro color from a place in australia but it will cost a lot to ship to the US. Then I saw something about edible glow in the dark body paints? Will those work if I put a little in my fondant? or buttercream? Has anyone had experience with this? Will it change the taste of my buttercream or fondant? I don't want to spend a lot of money having the fluoro color shipped to the US and I don't even know if it's food safe here in the US. Does anyone have experience with edible glow in the dark paint?

For the topsy turvy cake-  I will definitely have to practice. My question is do I need to make more cake to make up for servings b/c of the carving that needs to be done? Will fondant or buttercream work better for making a cake like this? and I usually use the sps system for support. Will this work with the topsy turvy cake? Also do you charge a little more to make the topsy turvy cake than a regular tiered cake?

Thanks!
