Just curious, what would be the easiest way to make an MMF sleeping baby. It doens't have to be too big, just a bit over 1.5". It's going to be covered with an MMF blanket and be used as a cake topper. I was thinking of getting a push mold...but would like some tips cause I'm sure there are more ways than one to do this. icon_smile.gif Thanks!

I just rolled a ball of MMF for the head... I painted the eyes/nose on with a very small artist paint brush dipped in Americolor... I let that dry for a few minutes... I made a tiny round, flat pacifier with another tiny flatten ball in the center of the larger one and put a tiny drop of vanilla flavoring to adhere it to the mouth area ... I made a round log shape for the baby's body and covered it with a blanket ... I made tha arms/hands and tucked those under the blanket in the position I wanted them in.. I put the baby's head on a pillow .. there is a picture of one I did in my photos .. HTH

I bought these molds on ebay on the recommendation of ShirleyW. They haven't arrived yet, so I can't tell you how they work. You can order a "food safe" mold so you don't have to worry about cross-contaminating your fondant.

You are all life savers. I have been searching EVERYWHERE for molds to use and no matter what searches I put in for eBay or using Google or Yahoo, it never brought up any of these. I'm definitely going to invest in these. Thanks so much!

Silicone gumpaste molds
it will usually bring up a few lisitngs or websites.
