Hi everyone, I am looking for a round wedding cake stand which is larger than 14" which seems to be the standard size you can buy. My cake will be on a 16" cake drum so ideally 16" or 18" would be perfect.

This website has some 18" stands but just for hire.

I've searched the internet and drawing a blank. Any ideas?

Sorry I've posted this to the wrong forum. Was trying to put it in the UK thread. Anyone know how to move a post?

Click on the red flag in your post. State in the box that you would like your message moved to the UK thread, and I think a moderator can do that.

Best wishes and happy caking.

Have you tried searching Etsy UK? Search "cake plateau."

AIf the one you want is a simple one, you could try making your own. There are lots of ideas here http://www.pinterest.com/search/pins/?q=cake%20stands :)

Have you tried looking Sarahsstands.com ? I used them and was quite happy. They offer up to 20'' stands in a  variety of colors.

Sarah's stands are very nice, but not inexpensive. You could try to figure out how much shipping to the UK would be.

Shipping from the US is very prohibitive especially as our purchases often then get stuck in customs until we pay exorbitant customs rates for release on top of the mailing cost. I wish we had a better choice of cake stands here in the UK as our choice is extremely limited.. I think we are going to have to try to make one to get the size we need.

Thank you for all your suggestions. Any UK CCrs who know of any other purchasing options would be much appreciated. Other ideas from around the globe still welcomed.

The moderators don't read every message in every forum. You need to click on the red flag on your initial post and in the box that pops up, ask that your initial post be moved to the UK bakers' thread or ask that the whole thread be moved. If it doesn't happen, repeat.
