AI want to make a banner out of gumpast and either airbrush gold or paint gold. My question is what color of gumpaste would be easiest to get the gold color? I've heard black is the color to use if you want to turn it gold or silver. TIA!

AI usually use yellow for gold and gray for silver. I personally don't care for the look of black fondant dusted with silver/gold. It looks dirty to me.

Agree! Give a base of ivory or gold then paint or dust with gold dust.

AThere's an Americolor gel called Gold. I tend to use that. Otherwise yellow :)

I saw that recently in store too! Does it give a nice gold hue?

AI really like it. I've used it for gold coins but I always go over it with my gold airbrush

I always do yellow or ivory for gold and then paint it with gold petal dust. I'll have to check out the Americolor gold, I don't have that one.
