Has anyone tried baking a cake with gummy bears in the mix?  I'm guessing they'll just sink but I am willing to try it myself, but figured I would check here before wasting my ingredients...

Customer mentioned the favorite flavors of the guest of honor....banana, chocolate, coconut and gummy bears....

Umm...OK!?

AThere are hard and soft gummy bears. Some just melt, both are not recognizable as a bear after baking, can present a choking hazard....overall not a great idea. Biting into a soft fluffy cake and encountering a dense object that honestly should be chewed isn't appreciated by most. In a cupcake, you may get away with it. But in a cake, it also presents a cutting issue. Cute idea and sweet thought though. Let us know how your experiment works out.
