Hi,

Does anyone know how this effect is achieved please? I need to do this for a friend and I'm worried

it looks like piped buttercream to me =D

to me also. Wish someone would ask me to make one, I can pipe messy lines pretty easily.

AOP just put on buttercream smooth as usual than take a piping bag with a number 3 tip or so and pipe the messie looking lines overlapping some of them

Buttercream, a piping bag with a medium size tip, and a good turntable.

What do you mean you made "the sample"? Like a mock up? Real cake?

ANot a full 5 tier cake but a 6" baby cake so we could decid on the size of the piping *
