I wanna know how to start to make my two tier cake. AND if anyone knows a great recipe for a vanilla cake that uses regular salted butter that would help a lot! Thank you!

We have a  lot of great recipes here on CC.  i would try using the search engine and finding one that appeals to you.  As to where to start...you start with finding the recipe and then baking it.  Allow them to completely cool, frost and stack them.  Simple.
