I am flower incompetent but this looks fairly easy.  Can someone walk me thru this?  It seems like a simple flower cutter is used but not sure how I get it to dry in that "rounded" shape.  Do you think that fondant or buttercream under the flowers?

AProbably dried the flowers in a washed and dried plastic/foam egg carton.

looks like a 6 petaled blossom cutter dried in a rounded form (like an egg carton Leah suggested).  I personally would use fondant on the cake and royal icing to glue the flowers on.  There are three little dots in the middle of the flowers that can be piped in royal icing.

AYou might consider taking the beginner's Wilton flower course at your local craft store, they cover things like this.

Hi Amy.  Pretty Nice, indeed.

I would like to suggest that you upload these on CC and then join the thread Peer Review http://cakecentral.com/t/755127/peer-review-cake-club/555

That is the link to the last page.  All you have to do then is copy/paste the link to your cakes and many will give you feedback and ideas.  Just something I thought you could take advantage of.
