ACan I cook a chocolate chip cookie cake in a round 10 inch cake pan? My son wants his animal cell project done in cookie cake. It has to be round so should I cook it round or cook it in a square pan and then cut it round?

Any great recipes for cookie cake?

just allow some room around the edge for it to spread out as it bakes--most any choco chip cookie recipe should do--

if you do trim it--be prepared to do it as fast as you bring it out of the oven--

i would use a round pan--

and i would pat it all solid together before baking--maybe into a 7" or 8"  circle of cookie dough in a 10" pan--

i'd put a parchment circle or a aluminum foil in pan for easier removal after it completely cools--

in fact i'd probably put a 9' or 10"cardboard circle under that before baking to ensure successful removal--

i only trim cookies that i need to fit together to build something --this should bake up fine without trimming
