Victoria Secret Gift Bag Cake

Okay so I am doing a Vic Secret bag for Dec 26, 2013. I was wondering....
1.) What size should I make it? 9x11 two layers or 12x18 single layer
2,) What would you use to make the Victoria secret lettering. A pen, Fondant, etc..
3.) Is there a pattern for the letters?
4.) Is it possible to make tissue effect with out having a pasta maker

thanks in advance

here's a bunch of pictures including a real bag--

https://www.google.com/search?q=victoria's+secret+shopping+bag+cake&rlz=1C1SAVU_enUS541US541&espv=210&es_sm=122&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=VIGvUvH6FNPNkQfMtIHABQ&ved=0CC4QsAQ&biw=1600&bih=790

i'd end up free hand piping the lettering --

you could get a real vs shopping bag and tape over the letters front and back with clear tape then cut the letters out with an xacto knife -- use the letters or the negative of the letters as your pattern -- this is a very ticky tedious thing to do--cutting out stencils is an art form in itself--you might could find a real letter stencil much easier that would work great

i think i would paint the letters or maybe use edible ink markers---you could use a sponge and dab luster dust into the stencil then pipe the outline--

measure the bag and make it that size -- or if you want it smaller--reduce each measurement by the same percentage to keep the right proportion--i'm sure you need at least a two layer cake--

you can roll fondant thin and wrinkle/ruffle it up like in the photos to mimic tissue paper--no you don't need a pasta machine--

hope it all goes very well

i hadn't looked at the lettering too close--cutting them out is a ridiculous idea--the font is far too small--

eyeball it i guess that's what i would do

how do you put the cake in upright position? since the base is small, won't it fall off or tear up?

i thought op was making the shopping bag laying down--

but if you want it standing up--you make a two or three tier cake all the same size rectangle shaped tiers--all stacked up tall--with a piece of foam underneath the bottom board to affix some skewers into --  you still have to be real careful with it but that's how i do it
