if you want super shiny brush it with a 'paint' made of water and gum arabic

just like a teaspoon of gum arabic and then just add a teaspoon or two of water till it gets to a loose paintable consistency--just till it dissolves and paint away--if it has any taste i never noticed it over the sweet product it covered--

it's a forgiving process--not involved not intricate--real simple--straight forward--

you can even use the edible glitter--the flakey stuff--it is gum arabic --just dissolve it in the water and the white/clear works great--

if this black shoe will pop open for you--it's supposed to be a patent leather toe and regular leather upper--it is dusted with cocoa powder to make it look vintage but also to tame down the gum arabic because it was so shiny
