AEither another layer of fondant or stick pearls or flowers on it.

I'd put some kind of decoration on the top like pearls or jeweled trim, then add ruffles to the skirt. The ruffles will take a while but it will add some dimension and movement to the skirt.

it seems to be out of proportion but not terminally--two different ways i can see maybe--

it needs a waist--i mean a doll cake can be a little weight conscious here--she flares out from her bustline out and the strands that cross over each other confuse the matter--then the lower bottom piece seems twice too long for the upper part

idk--maybe it's the photo but try looking at it that way and see if you think it's out of proportion

and after correcting the proportion if need be--cupcakemaker and costumeczar have great ideas--

you're almost there

i agree with costumeczar with adding another layer of fondant to make a ruffled skirt. i also think that you can do some piping on the bust of the dress .

ruffles are a great idea as has been mentioned--go easy on that where your skirt meets the plateau it is sitting on--you don't want them flaring out past that because you run the risk of mushing them or cracking them when you move it--

just make sure those bottom ruffles are flush with top the silver plateau--

if you feel like it--i'd love to know how it goes--no pressure--

Agree with others....It doesn't look completely verticle...top part also looks like it's leaning to the left?  Straighten that out also.  Just jazz it up...it will be fine.

@anavillatoro 1 it can be ruffled layer by layer but it would be nice if you could get the correct shape from the waist.

AThank you for the encourage words, I am afraid ruffles can be to heavy and tear apart  but I like the idea

and i'm not trying to load you up here--but i can't tell if the bodice is a uni-boob across the front--trying to focus in on your photo i can't tell --just putting this out there so you can give it a thought -- you might want to make some definition there between the breasts if you haven't already--even if you just cut a ''v'  in the blue fondant across the top would do that or whatever you think--

i know how especially special these occasions are--they seem more so than weddings sometimes to me--you've got a lot on you right now maybe--

best wishes

good idea and if you did them small to large flowers from the waist down that might balance the proportion

ALose the cross cross rope on the bodice, put a belt around the waist with an embellishment. I'd go with a large statement flower in a contrasting colour. Carve some cleavage into that sucker, and I'd do vertical ruffles on the skirt.

AI believe the fondant is too thick, and you need to add a pop color.. Maybe a flower or edible bling...
