Curious,  I made more than enough batter for my cake.  Don't have time to cook more now.  Can I freeze my batter?  Has anyone done this?  If I refrigerate, how long will it last?

Thanks in advance! :)

We can freeze or refrigerate most batters. Every recipe is different, but your batter should last at least a few days in the fridge.

AI froze left over buttermilk pound cake batter. When I was ready to use it I defrosted it in the fridge, then let it sit out to bring it up to room temperature before putting it in the cake pan. Turned out fine.
