Assuming this is 5 tiers of cake, 6", 8", 10", 12", 14", how many servings would you say this is? This is my first wedding cake that I'm making for a friend, so I don't have much experience with wedding serving sizes. I'm particularly wondering if the shorter 2" layers would be cut according to the standard wedding cutting guide, or if they'd be cut larger, since they're shorter.
My friend & her fiance are expecting 250-300 guests, so I was hoping to add a 16"x2" layer to the bottom so they would have enough servings, but I fear that cutting the shorter tiers in larger servings would mean that they wouldn't have enough.
