AHi everyone, This is my very first post and its taken me a while to work out how to do it! Anyway i am making a bright orange racing car cake but on the real car there is sponsor stickers all over it. My question is, what is the best way to do these stickers without spending more money on printing them and also I like to do everything myself so getting edible stickers made is not really a option. I have read about the buttercream 'plaques' but ideally i need it to be flush. Anyone got any amazing ideas??

You could hand paint them on fondant or gumpaste and apply them to the car. 

AI thought of that but i really want it to be flush. Any ideas about rice paper transfers?? Ive read about it somewhere but i cant remember where or how.

I know they're out there, but I think you have to have a printer with edible ink. And it has to be a printer that has not been used for anything but printing edible ink. I know there's a company that sells ink to go in just about any printer so you don't have to buy the expensive printer. 

AI think you can just paint on rice paper with food colors or edible markers rather than using a printer but I've never done it myself. I know my local cake supply store has the sheets but you have to ask for them - they aren't displayed. I remember reading something a while back about someone making an open book cake and she was wondering about affixing the paper to the fondant. I sort of remember something about maybe using piping gel or something similar to attach the paper.

AYes thats what i saw, the open book lettering, this s the car im copying and its needs to be as realistic as possible. Should i use orange icing or airbrush? I was going to airbrush but im not sure now.
