I saw this cake on cake wrecks. How awful. It was supposed to be a wedding cake. I love how they didn't eat it! haha

I believe as a bride that cake would've been put somewhere that the "baker" wouldn't have enjoyed.  That is horrible.  That's the first time I've seen it.

After reading the full news stories about this, it seemed to me to be more a case of a bride who bought a cheap cake then complained that it looked bad. I don't remember exactly how much it cost, but one article did report it and it was REALLY low for a cake covered in fondant. I got the feeling that she had gone for a cheap price, got what she paid for, then was mad that she got what she paid for.

I really don't understand how the cake came out so bad. I wonder if this was the first multi-tier cake the baker did. I'm a newbie (caking since August), but I'm confident I could pull it off. The original cake doesn't look that difficult.

I feel bad for the bride, but if something seems too good to be true it usually is (i.e. super cheap cakes aren't going to be super high quality).

Hi john
I had seen your cakes, really looks delicious. My friend wedding is on next month, i am completely confused for his gift. This one a better option, i will surely order this cake. I had seen some cakes on whipped, is this OK for wedding cakes.

I've never ordered a cake online. So I'm just not sure how to advise you. Sorry.
