Hello all,

I want to use some sanding sugar or sugar flakes on a cake.  Just a light sprinkle,  but I would like them to stick.  Is there a way to adhere them without discoloring my fondant with water or gum glue?  Pushing them into the fondant is not an option.

Thank so much in advance.

Jeanne

A thin coat of piping gel worked well for me when I needed sanding sugar to stick to gumpaste twigs.

Thanks for the reply.  I'll roll out an extra piece of fondant and smear it with the gel to test.

Let me know how it works on the fondant, I have a few ideas I'd like to try out with sanding sugar!
