AI pulled my premade black wilton fondant out of the cabinet and opened it up and it looks really really dark green?? Does this mean it is too old?? It has been completely sealed, with no air getting to it in the back of a cool dark cabinet. None of it is even dried up at all. Help!!

ANormally, you can call the manufacture and describe the condition.. They can check the lot number to see if there were any problems. Some black colors have a green base color and the fondant just needs to be kneaded and the fondant is lighter on the outside.

Is there a use by date? Or sometimes there is a date on the bottom of the container that looks like circles with tiny numbers around it, and an arrow which indicates the month and year of manufacture. Call Wilton if the kneading doesn't help.
