Baked my first 12" x 18" sheet cake using tips from CC.  I have put it off for years.  I used an old scratch recipe - (cream butter-sugar, add flour alternating with milk, fold in beaten egg whites).

  • Baked it at 325 f.,
  • wrapped it with baking strips, and
  • 3 small flower nails in the middle.

I probably over did it with three different things to try to get it cooked evenly. It took about an hour & 15 minutes to bake, that amount of time was a big surprise,  But it came out perfectly.
